Agape: Milan Design Week 2017

Milan Design Week 2017 saw Agape host four impressive installations in the heart of Brera Design District. These installations were devoted to their extensive range of products and included some new additions. The variety of new products and design collaborations presented at Milan demonstrates Agape’s continuous exploration of versatility, customisation and timeless design.

Immersion bath by Neri & Hu
Observing the growing density of cities across the globe, Neri & Hu’s design addresses the increasingly confined living spaces that urban dwellers are confronted with. The Immersion bathtub, inspired by traditional timber bathing vessels used in Japan and China, is deeper than a standard tub and occupies a smaller footprint. Similar to an onsen hot spring experience, the posture of bathing is more upright rather than reclined, but the added depth allows a full immersion of the entire body for deep relaxation, while also enjoying the steam as it rises off the water surface. The resulting design features minimal lines, maintains elegant proportions and offers a unique and luxurious bathing experience.

Lariana basins by Patricia Urquiola
The Lariana range is completed by two washbasins, one oval-shaped countertop and the other round freestanding version. The designs maintain the distinctive contrast between the soft, curved bowl and the linear, geometric form of the outside. This concept is also recalled in the freestanding version, the slightly off-centre bowl rests on a stand that can be completed with a shelf. The washbasins and stand can be made of Cristalplant biobased or marble. The Cristalplant washbasin is available in white or with a light-grey or dark-grey exterior.

Eclissi mirror by Gergely Agoston
Eclissi is a pair of mirrors with two different depths and diameters which can be freely matched. The illumination behind the mirror creates a halo effect and the smaller mirror can be moved and placed in any position around the overlapping larger mirror.

Monolith storage unit by Agape, Geberit
New design possibilities are available for the cabinets from the Monolith range. The storage units with door or open shelving are available in some new finishes including natural, brown or dark oak or painted finishes.

Agape is available exclusively through Artedomus. Immersion bath and Lariana basins are in production development and will be available soon, in the meantime you can see more of the extensive Agape range here.
