Artedomus congratulates PTW Architects for receiving the 2012 Emil Sodersten Award for Interior Architecture from the Australian Institute of Architects for the John Kaldor Family Gallery at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Artedomus supplied and installed the Travertine Lait Honed and Filled flooring in conjunction with Built NSW.

“Continuity of materials (travertine, exposed concrete and white plasterboard walls) provides harmony with the existing building, while new materials and technology demonstrate a sympathetic evolution of the architecture since the building’s construction in 1968.” – Jury Citation.

Using highly skilled stone masons based in our Sydney workshop 1600sqm of Italian vein-cut Travertine marble 1200×600×30mm was cut and installed with no rejection and within programme. Additionally, Artedomus carved and installed the solid stone 2000×280×160mm treads to the main staircase.
